YAY FINALLY!

this may not be exciting news for anyone but people who live in alaska but we are finally getting a Forever 21! soo exciting i can finally save myself the trouble of paying out the ass for shipping. shipping to alaska is always so EXPENSIVE. haha this may sound extremely lame, but alaska is so behind on retail stores. we just got a Target last year, our first Coach in 2007 and our first Kohls opened its doors in April 2009. shit, we got Abercrombie and Fitch in like 2002. we are seriously behind, i know.

im crossing my fingers for a Sephora. like that would seriously knock my socks off! or an H&M would be wonderful too. we dont even have an Express or a Victoria Secrets, its so depressing!

if you live in Anchorage and are jobless go check out the open interviews for Forever 21. they are looking for cashiers, management, head cashiers, stockers etc. Interviews are being held on June 18, 19 and 20 in the Dimond Center. stop by the old Gottschalk location in the Dimond Center for more details.

i would definitely apply if i was still in high school and could live off minimum wage, lol. but that store is a hot mess, it is way too much for me to handle. besides, retail is so not my thing. i used to work for victoria secrets and that seriously was a Panty Prison. i hated folding all those panties, but they gave out so many freebies it kind of made up for it. lol

i am totally hoping that this store opens before my giveaway ends so i can go pick up some goodies, but i doubt it. poooooooooooooooooooooooop :(

ohhh speaking of my giveaway. im going to be posting pictures of a few of the items i will be putting into my prize packages. i have like a whole small box of stuff so far. some of the items will be duo false lashes, fresh minerals trio eye palettes, and OPI nail polish. i will post pictures when i get home in a few ours, so i will leave you all in anticipation! lol

oh & i have a question:

1. do you think the deadline for my giveaway is too far stretched out?
- i know giving people about a month to do a contest entry is reasonable, but i keep thinking giving that much time for just a blog entry may be too much? i dont know, i think im just so excited to draw winners, lol. i wanna do it now! im so impatient

2. what type of items would you like to see in a giveaway prize package?
- i keep thinking of "great" or "useful" items to give away, but everyone has their own interpretation of those words, so let me know.. what would you like to see? especially since you may be the winner!

3. if you did win, could i mail you things in the future?
- haha not like a piece of my hair, or anything strange... but just to build a friendship. like if i got a sample of something i liked and i wanted you to try, or a letter cause i love you. hahah i sound so creepy... please dont be scared.

haha i hope everyone had a great monday! the week is almost over :)

When I buy things online, I check the shipping price and I've always noticed Alaska and (I think) Hawaii are the two states in the US with such high shipping costs. I don't know why, I've always thought because it's kinda outward, iunoz! lol.

And I know about working at a retail store, I absolute hated when I work at Hollister (most of the time).

1. I kinda do the giveaway contest is a bit stretched out but it'll give people time to be a follower so I guess it's okay... plus, I just found out that you're having a giveaway contest! So I haven't done mine yet....
2. anything that catches my eyes (hahaha. something glittery? Shimmery? something pretty? candies?) I have no clue. Even a random friendly bored note will be fine with me. LOL.
3. Of course! =] But you're in Alaska and shipping is not cheap =T maybe when you're in Cali and ship things. orrrrrr, make your hunnie do it! lol. I feel like a blog stalker now >.< but a letter is lovely! I love reading personal mails (I don't really like advertising mails like... comcast or verizon or credit card companies try to get you to try their cards or whatever)

Hey girl,
I didn't know you live in Alaska. You don't have any of those stores there? I'm a total city girl, so I need to have all the malls close by. LOL. Although I still order online from the UK stores because the clothes are more stylish. =)
I'm glad they finally have a Forever21 there in Alaska, so no more shipping. =)

Yay, F21 in Alaska. :)

1. Do you think the deadline for my giveaway is too far stretched out?
Yea, that's A LOT of time. But, I guess it's good for those who aren't on everyday... like myself. :) haha

2. What type of items would you like to see in a giveaway prize package?
I wanna see an item that I haven't tried before. Something strange... a diamond in the rough. Haha. I've been looking at Japanese-brand hauls. They have pretty interesting product. Of course I can't understand what's written on the packaging, but they're cute.

3. If you did win, could I mail you things in the future?
Of course. Are shipping rates in Alaska more expensive? Hawaii's not too bad. I have some things stocked up that I want my fellow bloggers to sample...

lol shipping rates are a bit expensive coming from alaska, but im not concerned about it. im not going to be mailing anyone a 50 pound box, maybe just a small envelope or a very small package. nothing outrageous.

haha, well I'm sure glad that you'll finally be having a Forever21! :)

&&

1) maybe to some people, but I don't think so
2) I just say anything you'd consider cute. It doesn't even have to be makeup it could be like a cellphone charm or something like that. Or snack of some sort :)
3)Of course! <3

I hate paying for shipping! LOL!
Our state mall has A HUUUUUUUUGE
F21 now... It's two-stories!!!

And after our JC Penny is fixed (horrible storm, it flooded our mall) there will be a Sephora. I'm so trying to get a job there...DISCOUNTS! I'm going to be broke I bet once it opens.

1. Well I think for a giveaway, yes. Plus that gives more people a chance to join your blog simply for the prizes. (people do that) But if waiting until July is convient for you than no problem with that.
2. Cosmetics & candy! (:
3. lol. That would be nice!
Gift exchange time!! lol

I'm glad you're getting a F21 in Alaska. It didn't become so big until the last couple of years. I remember when the first F21 opened in downtown SF (took over the 3 story BOFA building), girls went crazy when they went shopping there! One girl actually passed out because she was so overwhelmed!!

1I think the contest date is a lil stretched out. For mine, I originally had it end at the end of June and I started at the end of May. I think with it being so long, girls tend to forget about it. I switched my date 2 weeks earlier and it's ending this Thurs!

2. To make it more personalized, in my opinion, maybe some of your HG items you cannot live without, so we can know what types of products you like!

3. You're funnny!! Of course, but you would have to accept my packages in return :P

OMG I'm so surprised that Alaska actually has a F21, no offense! God I don't know what I would do if I didn't have all my favorite retail stores within driving distance. I guess you can say I'm a little spoil since I live literally 5 minutes away from the Mall of America.

Anyways your blog entry was hilarious!! Especially the part of sending stuff to build a friendship. That was cute...you can be my friend. If you ever come to Minnesota, I'll take you to the MOA and the outlet stores ;)

1. I think a month might be a long time. A lot of things happen in a month, and it's easy to forget things. I think 2 weeks is a more appropriate amount of time. Since it is a contest, having a shorter time frame can even heaten the competition!

2. I think whatever is the hottest item being blogged about is a good gift to give. Or those palettes from Coastal Scents.

3. Lastly, I think it's so cute when you say you want to mail and surprise people with things in the future. :)

yay that's awesome you got f21 now *^_^ i love that store!

1) i think that's a good length of time especially since it's summer and not everyone is always online.

2) anything that you think is uber cute, a must, and totally would use yourself. i dunno that's just me i swear winning a gift certificate or something people might think *shrugs* basic is exciting to me haha. i'm a simple girl myself.

3) totally i think that's always a good thing to have. people i've won from i do that with and you can never have too much friendships :)

have a great weekend! and thanks for having an awesome giveaway lady :)
