thank you to everyone for congratulating me on my son's birth. he is such an amazing little man :) but i shall gush about all that in another post. i got a lot of questions about my pregnancy and his birth so lets get some of these questions answered shall we?

Baby Q&A session:

Hows motherhood going?
- haha its definitely a new experience, but it has been wonderful. im really greatful that my son is such a good baby and Jon (the bf) is really helpful and super supportive. he actually does a lot more work than i do!

How are you feeling?
- I feel great. I was up and about right after delivery with no issues.

Was it an easy labor?
- haha I dont really know how to answer that. I wouldn't say it was easy, but it was definitely worth it.

How long did it take to deliver him?
- the actual delivery took maybe 20 minutes, but my contractions started at 8:45pm and he was born at 10:26am the next morning, lol it was seriously like a lifetime.

Did you do a c-section?
- haha hell no. i cant do a major surgery like that. the idea of a c-section scares me.

i received my textbook from bookrenter. com, the shipping was super fast & free. the book is brand new, it was still wrapped in the packaging. i love love love, but the online access code for the psychlab doesnt work.. wtf?! im just annoyed.. i have to wait till tech support gets back to me. these people are ruining my life, lol. i have work that needs to be done!

luckily if all else fails i can return the book and get my money back

ahhh its that time of the year again, spring semester just started. school is definitely a love hate relationship for me. when i take a semester off i long to go to school, then when a semester begins i dread it. lol i wouldnt mind it as much if it were free, like high school was such a breeze. they provided you with all of your text books, the only fees you ever paid were for classes and things you'd actually use. like.. why do i pay a universal transportation fee so i can ride public transit for free.... when, i dont use the public transit system!!! paying for school irritates me. i also refuse to pay for books at the book store, i swear they're out to rip me off! i spend endless hours before a semester starts searching for the best price for my books, free shipping only. lol i refuse to ever pay for shipping.

this semester in particular i lucked out and only needed to buy one book, considering i am only taking two classes (part-time) i was on a mission to be extra frugal with my budget for textbooks. i found a site, bookrenter.com which actually had a really good price. i have never rented a textbook before so this will definitely be a new experience for me, but $56 for the entire semester for a textbook and the cd-rom required for the class.. i couldnt say no. especially considering purchasing one would cost me well near $150.00. i know you can always sell it back at the end of the semester.. but i still feel like i am getting ripped off. especially since the prices can fluctuate so dramatically. i never really care what condition the books are in, from experience i have always bought used books from the web (particularly amazon) and they have always been in great condition. im not the type of person to highlight or write in my books, & im totally annoyed with people that do (no offense), thats why they invented notebooks people!! the rules of high school have definitely stuck with me, lol.

Textbook rental sites like Bookrenter.com or Chegg.com may be a good option for anyone who is on a limited budget, or doesnt need a $200 textbook for half of a semester (i love that you can rent on a semester/quarter/monthly terms). they also offer free returns, great shipping rates (free standard!). so maybe give it a try next semester? i will do an updated review after the semester ends to let yall know how my first textbook renting experience goes... wish me luck :)

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION 2010

2009 wasnt the best year for me, it really had its ups and its downs. but my only new years resolution for 2009 was to be cancer free and thank goodness that worked out for me :) i also wanted to be debt free, but... i sort of fell extremely short of that achievement. lol i suck, ugh!

every year my new years resolutions are generally the same. lol i dont expect much, but then again i never really stick to them either. haha i suck at new years resolutions to be honest. 2010 WILL be a different kind of year for me! i put this on everything, if 2011 rolls around and i havent completed my resolutions, then i will slap myself in the face. REALLY hard, haha. this upcoming year i am determined to accomplish the resolutions that i set. *thumbs up!*

My 2010 New Years Resolution:

1. Be Debt Free by 2011! - i need to get serious about this, debt is like the plague it spreads and infects everyone. especially with a baby on the way, i dont want to bring my son into the world knowing that i will have to pay bills before i can buy him something nice. i refuse to not be the best mother to my son, financially speaking, cause i know im gonna be a great mom!

2. Get back on track with school! - haha i am the biggest slacker when it comes to school. take a semester off here, drop a class there.. i mean i have my goals and i am determined to finish school but there was never a deadline for me. i have always let other things get in the way and school was always the first thing to be put on the back burners for me if anything ever came up in life, so 2010 will be the year that i go full time, for every semester! except spring 2010 semester cause im giving birth. haha see im already doing it.. semi-failure! haha but Summer 2010 i will be all over this resolution!

3. Get my body back! - pregnancy hasnt changed much, and while i am still pregnant i really dread what my body will look like after the baby. so im determined to get fit and be healthy in 2010. that means a better diet, hitting the gym and drinking more water! haha these are all really simple things to do, but honestly.. im the laziest person alive. i work out maybe like once a year, haha so yeah.. thats definitely gotta change. the healthier i try to be today, the healthier i will be tomorrow!

the best way to keep myself on track is to document my resolutions every step of the way. this way i can determine if im really on track, haha or if im simply full of shit :D so expect lotsa post & help me stay on track!

i dont really do much for christmas, so the most exciting thing for christmas eve was getting off work early... and having christmas day off. lol, yes my life is that exciting. i have already opened my presents, cause im a brat.. so nothing left to do but sleep in and eat ice cream. yay! also to enjoy a soda! my boyfriend has been limiting my love for caffine & carbonation since i have been pregnant, its been pure misery. lol

anyways.. everyone knows that pregnancy changes your body. at the end of the day its a really beautiful experience. haha but on a day to day basis; the weight gain, breaking out, mood swings and morning sickness is really a pain in the ass. not to mention the back pain, swelling and pure misery you experience daily is really just crap. undesirable crap! haha i know many women who tell me they loved being pregnant, they loved the baby bump and feeling the baby kick. as for myself, while i love the fact that i am pregnant, i would rather fast forward through the actuality of being pregnant. haha im horrible, i know. but, its really hard work. the experience is different for everyone, i know, but dude... i feel like i have a 20 lbs watermelon strapped to my tummy!

i thought i should document the change that has occurred in myself through out this pregnancy, to give you ladies a better idea of what to expect when you're pregnant.... lol

this was me pre-pregnancy:

weight: 95 pounds

there hasnt been a huge change haha who am i kidding? hahaha ok there has, but change is good. i havent really been doing much to mainntain my weight or my figure.. lol im honestly too lazy to work out. but i have been monitoring what i eat and try to stay away from snacks and fatty foods. its seriously easier to keep the weight off now than to have to try and work it off after the pregnancy.

but the best thing about my pregnancy so far has been my boobs. hahaha yes seriously i went from an A to a D. you can only imagine my facial expression when i went to try on bras and found out i was a D. theyre the boobs i have always wanted to buy and i love them. i will be sad when they're gone after im done breast feeding though, but seriously.. im enjoying them while they are here :)

my best advice for any mommy to be is to be educated. i did a lot of reading and really kept my health and the health of my baby in mind during this pregnancy. being informed is the best thing you can do when having or trying to have a baby :)

omgggg, the grossest thing about this pregnancy so far, is that my belly button is starting to pop out. look at it! hahahaha

im covering up the hole for my navel piercing. why? because it looks yucky. haha i waited too long to take it out... and it stretched a bit and the skin scarred a bit and its dark now.. needless to say, im doing yall a favor. lol :)

this bag was seriously worth ever stinking penny! this was my christmas gift and well deserved may i add. you can find this via the Burberry website, if anyone was interested. i looked at a lot of different diaper bags and this was the best buy overall. its huge! the only down side is that it is a canvas bag, so maintaining it will be a challenge, but who cares i love it :D

another new addition to my life is this beauty..... my temporary Tacori. i say "temporary" because its not real diamonds. lol this is from the Tacori Epiphany line that Tacori designs for QVC. i randomly found it online and fell inlove with it. its fake (diamoniques), but sparkles likes the real thing. i will get my actual Tacori one day, but until then, i love this ring to death!

haha yeah i know i fell off the face of the earth round 2, but seriously.. when you're super pregnant you just get lazy. although, i do read blogs and keep up with everyone i have just been super lazy to do a post. i had a bunch of stuff in my drafts, but never actually finished anything. lol, story of my life!

but atleast i have exciting things to share, well... i hope they're as exciting to you as they have been for me :) but i will share those post by post starting tomorrow.

i am now 30 weeks & 4 days pregnant. im so close to the finish line!! haha another two months, but seriously its going by faster and faster. im so done with being pregnant. yay!

i got into a car accident in november which caused an abruption in my placenta. basically its when the placenta separates from the uterine wall and causes bleeding into the placenta. its totally dangerous. i was on 24 hour observation and in the hospital for 2 days.. super scarey. they told me i almost couldve had to deliver my baby at 25 weeks, which is SUPER DUPER early. it was a really stressful day. luckily, everything healed up well and baby is doing just fine now

i started a new job at the end of october and im much happier now. not to mention i get 6 weeks paid maternity leave, which im really looking forward to. i've been working none stop and its gonna be nice to have time to spend with my son.

we chose a name for our son! he will be Jachin Ryan Sourivong-Rodriguez. i will do a further explanation of the name, how and why we chose it, and all that good stuff in my next post a few days from now.

but thats all for tonight, i have a huge post planned for tomorrow. i have to run to the store to buy juice, we have our appointment for our 4D ultrasound tomorrow! im so excited.

I FEEL DESPERATE...

hahaha i have been in this strange mood lately, well not "strange" but its been a wedding mood for me. i have been looking at dresses, rings, bouquets.. haha fuck i feel so desperate.

i think its the baby. the idea of marriage keeps crossing my mind. people keep asking if my boyfriend and i will be getting married because of the baby, and honestly we arent. lol im not going to marry someone solely because im having a child with them. i want that "ideal" family and i want marriage but not because im having a baby with someone! i hate that everyone assumes we are going to get married because of our baby. lol, fucken losers. we will get married some time in the future. when we both are financially ready for it. lol honestly we were in vegas last christmas and were breaths away from just eloping. haha im semi-glad it didnt happen, not really how i imagined getting married ya know!

we are definitely in love and committed, but theres really no need to rush into marriage. i want a big, fat ass spectacular wedding... i would love to be Mrs. Rodriguez right now now, but im mrs. rodriguez with or without a marriage certificate. so it really dont make a difference to me :)

well this mood isnt very strange to me, i often go through this, i've been obsessed with getting married since i was like 13 years old. haha its all planned out in my head! crazy, yes and i love it :) but i totally thought this would be fun for everyone, cause i knooooooow yall are just as crazy as me!

if i were to get married tomorrow this is exactly how it would be. this is so outta my budget right now, hahaha but a girl can dream cant she.. donnnnt hate! lol

the ring would be from Tacori the 2620 to be exact. this is the ring i want, like i really really want. we are actually going to go look at the setting tomorrow :D! but its rather expensive, so you wont see it on my finger any time soon *sad face*

I HATE TMOBILE! (rant)

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Tmobile is driving me insane. i love my sidekick, i really really do, but i am at the point where i wanna just cancel my account and go back to AT&T.

heres my issue with them:

1. my 2008 sidekick has FORVER had bad reception. my boyfriend bought us the 2008 sidekicks last october and his worked perfectly, but mine would lose reception constantly.. like even when we were right next to each other! its ridiculous.

2. the sidekick data base is GONE! yes, that means all of my contacts, notes, everything in my phone basically is gone, gone, gone. they sent out alerts letting everyone know you shouldn't turn your phone off or else you'll lose all the data you have saved in your phone cause their data base crashed.. well, all my shit is gone. sucks for me :(

3. my boyfriend upgraded to the new sidekick lx 2009 in May of this year and its Ocotober and we are already on our 2nd warranty exchange. isnt that lovely?

i mean that is already bad enough, but they just continue to annoy me. like, we put insurance on my boyfriends line, but they mistakenly put it on my line instead.. and i had to spend 45 minutes on hold with someone to fix it. or we almost didnt get our first warranty exchange cause every CSR that we talked to told us something different and it took like 2 weeks for us to get a phone that shouldve been delivered in 3 business days. omg, its just frustrating. i really love their customer service, every time i talk to someone on the phone they're really pleasant to talk to and super nice, but i hate the fucken company. im just so agitated right now.

i love my sidekick, but i think im about ready to part with it... i just need to find a way out of my contract. i refuse to pay a early termination fee! lol

but, the it started to rain outside, and its been sorta chilly here so i decided to dress warmer lol. i have the worst tolerance for the cold, and i live in alaska; its a horrible combination. so, i ended up wearing this.

- pants: Forever 21, they're actually like "work" pants, but made out of this thick legging material.. so they look like leggings, but are totally thicker and warm. they have pockets, and a zipper, but the dress hid them :)

- cardigan: 5|48 (from Saks) i looooove long cardigans :)

this entire outfit made me realize how much bigger i have gotten with the pregnancy and that im still getting bigger. lol i bought this dress last october but it didnt fit me. it literally would slide right off, so tonight was actually my first time wearing it. it fit wonderfully, i even found it to be a bit snug. i bought the pants a month ago and they didnt fit either; i put them on today and they fit perfectly. im glad i can finally put these items to use, but its totally depressing at the same time.

to make things worse when we got home and i tried to take the dress off i couldnt! i couldnt slip it down or up over my head. my boyfriend kept telling me he would have to cut me out of it.. i almost died... until i realized that he didnt pull the zipper down all the way. thats why i couldnt get out of the dress.. haha it was seriously a heart breaking moment for me!

i know im not fat, and im not trying to fish for any compliments or shit like that, but with anyone and any time their body is making such dramatic changes in such a small frame of time theres just a lot of getting use to needed. its really hard to wake up and notice yourself a little bigger each day, or that your clothes dont fit anymore. especially with my hormones raging, its a roller coaster ride. lol but i do love looking down and seeing my baby bump. it always makes my heart melt to think that in 4 more months my lil man will be here and he's going to be amazing!

the menus is a bit pricey, not an arm and a leg pricey, but its definitely worth the money. i was a little disappointed that although we had made 8:30pm reservations we actually had to sit and wait like 15 minutes to get a table. other than that the rest of the night went smoothly :)

what we ordered (sorry there arent a whole lotta food porn pictures. i promise next time we are there i will take some!):

- calamari with plum sauce (appetizer) $12.00
this was ok, it was lightly breaded, deep fried calamari and red peppers with a five spice seasoning. it had a small kick to it, but not "spicy" in my book. lol boyfriend thought it was a lil spicy though. it was served with a plum sauce, which i could do without.. i dont really like sweet dipping sauces, i would prefer an aeoli sauce any day. the calamari sat on top of a green salad. there was like sprouts, arugula, spinach.. this i could do without either, i dont like any of that shit. hahaha

- house salad with ranch dressing (appetizer) $6.50
salad was super yummy. had just enough ranch to nicely coat all the veggies. they made the salad with romain lettuce ( i prefer iceburg). the croutons were super good too! and the red onions and tomatoes were chopped really small, which made them easier to eat. everything was topped with grated parmesan.

- sweet potatoe fries (side) $6.00
soooooooo good. it came with this weird bbq sauce and mustard sauce sides, which boyfriend and i skipped on and asked for ranch instead, lol. but i love sweet potatoe fries, you seriously cannot go wrong :)

- whiskey pepper cracked steak $33.00 (my dinner)

2 medallions of steak served on top of mashed red potatoes, served with a side of battered and deep fried onion strings and mixed veggies (zucchini, onions) with a jack daniels peppercorn sauce. this was on their daily specials menu, so i dont know if its available all the time, but ommmmg sooooooooooo seriously delicious! i can never eat too much steak at dinner and this was a perfect portion size for me. the veggies and the onion strings were good, but like seriously.. if a restaurant fucked that up.. then i would have to kill the chef myself. haha totally loved it!

- center cut new york strip $39.00 (boyfriends dinner)

12oz new york strip served with au ju, mashed red potatoes and battered deep fried onion strings. this steak was seriously HUGE. like i think an 8 oz steak is already too much, but 12 oz .. it just looks like a beast to me. lol but the boyfriend really enjoyed his meal :)

- strawberry lemonade $4.00 (bottom less)
we each got one, and they were really good. some places just cant do a strawberry lemonade justice. haha but i was looking at the drinks menu and was totally wishing i could get a pomegranate cosmo, or a freaking mojito! ahhhhhhh sometimes pregnancy makes me so sad. haha

also, their water was really good. haha i am completely anal when it comes to drinking water at a restaurant, most of the time the water just tastes like shit. i rarely ever drink water in any public place, haha im like scared shitless of public water fountains. my boyfriend swears that all water tastes the same, and i know for a fucken fact that they dont! some places just have better water than others, and i make sure to make mental notes of where not to drink water. lol

- key lime pie $0.00 (on the house since it was my boyfriends birthday)

our total came to $103.50, which is like double what we would normally spend for dinner out, but it was so freaking worth it. this was our first time to Simon & Seaforts, but definitely not our last. its located downtown and has the greatest views on Resolution Bay. definitely a great place to dine at, if you are ever in Anchorage please give this place a try! the service there is sensational. our server seriously on his game. he refilled our water every time they reached half full. the food came out fast and it was prepared perfectly. the only down side is that like any downtown restaurant in anchorage its always busy on the weekends, so keep that in mind. even with a reservation expect to wait around 15 - 20 minutes for your table, but they do validate parking *thumbs up*.

also, best part about eating here is that you can buy gift cards for it at the Costco's in anchorage (thats what we did, haha we're on a budget!) but we got two $50.00 gift cards for $79.99 at Costco, yay for discounts! i fucking love costco dude, they have the best shit there. we also buy our movie tickets there. definitely check out costco for great savings :D our local costco also sells handbags: burberry, coach, and prada are what i have seen before. they currently have Seven For All Mankind jeans on there (the ones with the A pockets) for $99.99.

i love being pregnant, ah well its really a love/hate relationship. lol some days i look in the mirror and im just like, AHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK!? :( haha but i seriously dont think anything is cuter than a baby bump.

hahaha can you see how hairy my arms are, i seriously can knit myself a sweater. holy shit *shamed*

but the best part of being pregnant is the boobies! i finally have the boobies i have been dreaming of paying for. haha dont judge me! yes, i want breast implants, not sure if i will ever get them, but i long for them. yes, i wanna be fake and i will fucking love it. so suuuuuuck it!

i dont mean to whore myself out via blogger, but i gotta enjoy them while i can. i have always wondered what breast implants feel like. i dont really know anyone who has them, so can anyone tell me!? i wonder about how different they feel from natural breast, i know it will be different.. but how much different? im so curious!

i mean i know its not for everyone and i know plenty of people who are against them.. what do you think of them? do you have them, and if not, would you ever get them?

honestly, i never thought i would want them and i dont want them cause i need them to make me feel better about myself, or cause my boyfriend wants me to have bigger boobs haha. i want them cause i would just like them bigger. im normally a 30A (pre-pregnancy) im like a 30B right now 5 months pregnant.. and theyre just getting bigger. i dont want them to be huge.. lol but i like them where they are. to me getting bigger boobs is like getting a hair cut or dying my hair, just more expensive and requires healing time, hahaha . its just something i would do cause i want to. i could care less what anyone else thought!

what are your thoughts about fake breast and the people who want/have them?

i went to Sallys Beauty Supply on sunday to get some hair dye to do my sisters hair. she had these nasty blonde chunks in her hair and they were getting all orange and shit, we had to do something about it. she did the whole bottom panel of her hair blonde and a chunk in her bangs (this was like in june) but the stylist did a shitty job, and the blonde was more disgusting orange than anything. but she lived with it until now, so we just dyed everything a dark brown, and it actually turned out really well, especially considering it was my first time doing a home dye. lol i have heard horror stories, so i made sure to be super careful. she likes it and now she doesnt look so trashy with that nasty blonde out of her hair, lol. i should've done some before and after photos, sucky! but i will make sure to get some next time, im trying to find another victim to let me dye their hair. its seriously addicting!

the entire dye kit was super inexpensive too. the dye itself was around $3.00, the developer was around $4.00, and we bought a little bottle to make the application easier for like $1.89.t otal for getting her hair did $8.89. i know some box dyes could have been cheaper, but i wanted to experiment! haha yay for being a cosmetic scientist :)!

while i was there i also picked up some stuff for myself

i seriously dont know how i lived my life without this! i dont tease my hair often for 2 reasons: 1. its hella work..my arms get super tired and 2. i never get good results anyways, so much work...for nothing. but this teaser brush is super easy to use and you get a great tease in a fraction of the time. *thumbs up!*

seriously awesome. i always try to get volume in my hair, or to do a decent bouffant, and i am never ever successful. i was pretty hesitant looking at it in the store, but i decided to give it a try anyways. i completely love it :) look at all the volume i get (fyi, i just use the clip to keep my hair outta my face, it does nothing for volume)! it comes with 3 size "bump its" and im wearing the medium size one. *thumbs up*

im naked. im no nudist, but i like to be naked, or in as little clothes as possible. lol
i wear pencil skirts! theyre the shit, and i love the super short ones!
im stompin' around in my stilettos, like seriously who doesnt feel feminine in 4+ inch stilettos?
i have a french tip manicure & pedicure. this is like ultra feminine in my book
i see my shoulders. i love wearing my hair up and pulled back. i love the way my shoulders look all bare and exposed lol

everyone says i have that "glow" from being pregnant, but i honestly feel more like im harboring a fugitive.. haha. i havent been wearing makeup for a good 2 months now, sad i know. but i dont have the energy to put my face on, and i was breaking out like a 13 year old boy. now that the break outs have cleared up, i can finally put my face back on again!

the first timester suuuuuuuucked!

we went out last night for my BFFs boyfriends 22nd birthday. i didnt get any pictures from the dinner.. we ate at this japenese/korean/chinese place that seriously sucked balls. so if you are ever in anchorage, stay away from the tempura kitchen! i was so disappointed last night.

i dont really like to be matchy-matchy with my eye makeup and my outfit. so i did a pinky eye, instead of anything in the blue family. i did feel "glowy" last night, haha its hard to feel pretty when you're getting so fat.

this week has totally sucked balls, i was feeling extremely fatigued and sore on sunday. i went to costco and could barely walk around, then monday came around and a horrible pain in the right side of my back started. i seriously was about to die, so we went to the ER and spent the whole night there cause i have a kidney infection.. freaking gay! but baby is totally fine, he was just chillin' the entire time i was dying from pain. lol

buuuuut in more exciting news, so we went to the doctors to find out the sex of the baby, ohhh how exciting. my mom really hasnt showed much excitement during this whole process, but i cant really blame her.. shes like a typical asian parent...fairly emotionless (lol so true, so very true). but im like BURSTING with excitement!!

so i am officially annoucing that February 21, 2010 we will be expecting a baby BOY!

i love how its labeled "boy parts" haha.

we didnt get any good pictures of him, he was being soooo uncooperative! with his head down and legs all crossed.. it took forever just to figure out he had a little wiener, but we are so excited!

the boyfriend and i also celebrated our 1 year anniversary together :) it was nice, but no pictures cause the kidney infection didnt really make it that enjoyable, lol. plus, i look all jacked up and such.. so i'll spare you guys the horror. lol

MUSEUM TRIP :)

THANK YOU to everyone and how well you have accepted my pregnancy. lol i havent experienced any negativity from anyone in my family, or my boyfriends family and i am truly thankful for that. i know in my situation a lot of people do get quite a bit of negative judgment placed upon them... i mean im not married, and definitely not "prepared" for this baby. but i do know that i will be a wonderful and loving mother and my boyfriend will be a loving and supportive father and partner. everyone is very excited for this baby, it'll be our first and the first grand-baby in both of our families!

before our vacation my boyfriend and i went to the Anchorage museum to see the Gold Exhibition. if this is coming into your town i definitely recommend that you go see it, i mean.. its not the biggest exhibition in the world, but it was definitely nice. its actually one of the 10 most popular traveling museum exhibitions in the world.

haha i guess i dont know museum etiquette, cause we were totally taking HELLA pictures until one of the museum employees told us we couldnt take pictures. lol but i wanted to share!

it was a room covered entirely of 24 karat gold leaf. like if i was super duper raping the banks rich, i would totally cover the walls in my closet in gold leaf. hahaha it would be luxurious and wonderful!

& they had beautiful jewelry there. totally old, and soooo amazing. i wanted to break the plexi-glass and just take off with all this deliciousness.

there were also a bunch of gold bars, gold coins.. and Emmy.. lol lotsa random stuff. but the gold was amazing. i looooooooooooooooooove gold!

haha he looks slightly asleep in this picture, but if anyone ever has the chance to go to the Anchorage Museum i would definitely recommend going! the new addition is beautiful. they've spent about $108 million dollars on the new side of the museum and its gooooorgeous. i would love to throw a party there, or even have my wedding reception there. the space is really beautiful and you can definitely dress it up.

then we went to the alaska side of the museum (the old, non-updated side) and i thought i would share some pictures. lol

this is a moose my friends. they're huge, they're like everywhere in anchorage in the winter time. sooo cute, but they're very dangerous.

giiiiiiiiiant cabbage! lol we see these all the time at the state fair. this year i saw a freaking 120 pound watermelon!

its an eagle! i've seen one in person.. like alive.. and its seriously the size of like a 5 year old. they're really big! you dont see these in the anchorage area, but go like 30 minutes outta anchorage and they're all over the place. keep your toy dogs inside!!

its a musk ox! they're totally ugly and totally stinky. lol :)

bees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my boyfriend is totally scared of them. haha we went to the saturday market (a type of farmers market) right after the museum.. and they had this displayed.

then it rained on us, so we had to run back to the car.. we got soaked :)
it was fun. i was hoping that this summer i would get more scenic pictures of things to do and places to go in alaska. unfortunately i wasnt about to, im really hoping i get to do some more stuff before it starts to snow. theres already termination dust (snow) on the mountain and its devastating!

BABY UPDATE & VACATION PICTURES

i went in for an ultra sound appointment this morning. i checked in at 8:00am and seriously sat around for like and 1 1/2 hours before my doctor even saw me. fucking 9:30am rolls around and finally my doctor appears.. haha goodness gracious! not to mention they stuck me in a room where it was hella cold, and apparently they were training someone.. cause my doctor had this other chick do the ultra sound.. and he kept giving her pointers and shit. haha it was the worse ultrasound EVER. baby decided to be all stubborn and not show itself to us. poor thing must've been cold, it was all curled up into a ball.. lol we didnt get to see a damned thing, only the top of its head.

my doctors are still confused about when my due date will actually be. based off of my last menstrual period the due date should be February 14, 2010 (valentines day, supppppper cute!). i got an ultra sound when i was 8weeks pregnant and they estimated it at February 24, 2010. but, at todays ultra sound they estimated it at February 20th or 21st 2010. lol, i really love how completely unsure they are of everything. im really considering switching to another doctor.... but, either way this baby is coming in february :)

GOOD NEWS: WE'RE SCHEDULED TO FIND OUT THE SEX ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2009!

so im sure you are all wondering how my vacation went!?

well i was extremely morning sick the entire time, so i cant say it was super duper great, but i did have a good time. it was a lot more chill than i had anticipated, but seriously... i wouldnt have had it any other way. it involved a lot of eating, lol and HELLA driving. i didnt get as many pictures as i would have liked. i definitely didnt buy as much as i would have liked, but overall it was GOOD :) here are some pictures, enjoy loves!

disneyland. this is where i experienced my first sun burn (EVER!) and it was horrible :( and cause i was pregnant i couldnt ride on any of the rides... which sucked, but i dont really like rides anyways.. theyre scarey! lol but it was ridiculously hot that day (100 degrees!).. + my morning sickness. needless to say i wanted to die by the time it was over.

the only ride i rode was the buzzlightyear one, lol it was fun :)

seriously this thing was soo cute, i wanted one. but i couldnt stomach the $16.00 for it. shit at disneyland is soooooo over priced! haha.. i took my memories home instead :)

then we hopped over to california adventure.. and the misery continued. lol

i dont have trust issues, but you have to really build a relationship for me to trust you. this applies for everyone. im really cautious of who i let into my inner circle, or who i even associate with. im a fairly private person. i like to keep my business to me, and i like people who keep their business to themselves. i've been burned plenty of times, so i know who and what to look out for.

4. im all about me.
in all seriousness, at the end of the day no one will love me more, or love me better than i love myself. im a very self-less person and my family definitely comes first, but when it comes to a boyfriend or even to friends, i know whos the most important. like dont get me wrong, i have friends that i would give my life for, but i know better than to start giving my heart out without thinking about it first. at the end of the day when i have no one else, i still have my fucking dignity, and i would never give that up for anyone.

5. im HELLA mean
hahaha i really am though, like everyones first impressions of me are "you look like a bitch" or "you seem hella stuck up" and in reality.. im not really different from those first impressions. hahaha like i am a nice person, and i am very friendly, but im not the sugar coating type. it is, what it is with me. we're all adults here, and im not going to treat you like a child. i dont even treat children like all sugar coated and delicate.... cause the world just isnt like that. i have a cruel sense of humor and i lack the ability to not hurt peoples feelings.. haha

6. i love & i love hard
once i give my heart out, and whether its to a boyfriend or a friend, they're gonna have it forever... or atleast until they do me HELLLLLLLLLLA dirty. but im extremely forgiving, especially to those who are really near and dear to my heart. i would give up the world and all of my possessions to help someone i loved out.

7. im a mother fucking princess, and NO ONE can tell me other wise!
haha its sooo true. im a brat and i like to get my way. if i cant get my way, then well.. no one will! lol this only applies to my family. i've been very fortunate to have really loving parents, and they love me in all the wrong ways. hahah they've turned me into this needy and demanding terror, & they loooooooove me :)

update:
i do plan on doing some FOTDS, or something soon.. im recovering from break outs. this pregnancy caused my face to develop the most disgusting pimples.. ommmmmmmg i wanted to kill myself, but its finally clearing up.
for the past month i actually havent been wearing any makeup.. i dont think i have ever gone this long without it, haha its really sad. but my face is looking much better now.. so i will definitely catch up on my posting. <3!

BACK FROM THE DEAD!

hola lovers! i am so sorry that i have left my blog so neglected for so long. im really ashamed! but a lot has happened in the past couple of months, i know i need to fill yall in. so lets get started....

yes, im pregnant!

im sure many of you dont know this, but when i started my blog originally at the beginning of the year it wasnt anything makeup or beauty related. it was a blog dedicated to my pregnancy (at the time). i guess it wasn't meant to be, and i ended up having a miscarriage a couple months later and this blog really just let me vent, but also served as a heart breaking reminder of what i had just lost. i was going to delete it and be rid of it all together. the emotions associated with my miscarriage were really too much to bear for me, and some how blogging about anything other than a baby, or the lack of, was really helpful. so i kept the blog around and continued to blog... which im very happy i did.

so the main reason for disappearing was because this pregnancy has been really up & down for me. first of all the morning sickness was KILLING me, seriously 2 months of it! OMG!! and i was morning sick during my vacation, thats why i didnt blog at all during that period either. im finally getting my energy back and being motivated to blog again :)

so heres the update:

i am currently 18 weeks pregnant (right around 4 1/2 months)
no, i dont know if im having a boy or a girl yet. i find out soon though!
i will be blogging lots about this baby.. so be prepared to be bombarded by baby posts!

but i have been keeping up with everyones blogs. i've been secretly lurking. sorry to everyone who has been asking me why i havent blog and my lack of communication has been just plain rude!! please forgive me and lets rekindle our blog-love :)

i dont really care much to blog about fashion trends or beauty trends. im never really one to be a "trendsetter" or a very good trend follower at that. i always catch on to things like 2 seasons too late, lol. but this is definitely a trend i could never see myself following.. or anyone in their right mind at that.

apparently all the big names in fashion are sporting this look for their runway shows. the bleached eyebrow, or a completely lack of eyebrow in some cases. like who in their right minds would do this!? i understand the whole androgynous beauty thing, but seriously... you just look like a freaking alien.

even Adriana Lima bleached her brows for her new Givenchy ads. it seriously creeps me out. look at this picture, she looks like marilyn mansons twin. gives me the F'en heeby jeebies!!

but as all fashion trends hit the runways will this hit maine street? like could you really imagine seeing women walking down the streets with bleached, or no eyebrows!? i would seriously freak the fuck out if one of my "fashionista" friends thought this was a good idea. but then again shit like gaucho pants caught on like wild fire, so who knows right?

hello new Dell laptop. we seriously needed another laptop. i hated sharing, lol. its not the Vivienne Tam netbook I desperately longed for, but this is a hell of a lot cheaper, and i totally love it & it was on clearance for a dirt cheap price. you cant beat that!

&& hello new digital camera! i didnt really need one, considering i already have two.. lol but i really wanted the Canon Rebel XS, but a DSLR is pretty expensive and awfully complicated. so i opted for a normal point and shoot, but this one has great zoom ability. its the Sony Cybershot H20. i love it, takes great pictures and videos are wonderful. so expect more vlogs!

hahah look at all that chinkiness behind those shades! we stopped by the Nordstroms anniversary sale to pick up these Juicy Couture aviators. I really wanted a pair of Ray Bans classic aviators, but these Juicy ones were half off. i looooove juicy couture, look at my matching shirt. lol definitely too juicy for my own good :)

A: I am sooo sorry!! I have been guilty of lagging on getting to the post office to mail the packages out. I've been really sick this week and Im hoping to get them out by Friday, cause the BF has the day off so I will make him do that for me.

Q: Dana asked me "what time does the sun rise in alaska?" from my giveaway update vlog.

A: the sun is usually up by 6 am during the summer. i havent been awake that early in a long time, but in 2007 i used to work a 5am shift and the sun was already up well before me. during the summer it never really gets dark here. when the sun goes down its still pretty bright and visible. its a wonderful thing. it seems weird and creepy but it makes you feel like you have all the time in the world to do things (except all the businesses close at their usual times lol). but you can totally play basketball at 1am or wash your car at 11pm.

Q: Lily asked "What blush do you have on? It looks like spaced out by MAC lol" from my original winner announcement vlog.

A: ahahha im so ashamed to say but i only own 1 blush. yesss i said it, and its not even a blush, its actually a bronzer. i havent branched out an explored that part of the makeup world yet, and i really need to. lol but its the Chanel Silky Bronzing Powder in 21 Toundra.

Q: E asked "Which Keihls Moisturizer do you like/recommend?"

A: I think the summer of 2007 i had the best skin of my life and i swear its cause i was using keihls products. i really need to stock up on them again. i really love their Kiehl's 'Bright' Brightening Botanical Moisture Fluid. its a bit pricey at $40 for a 1 oz bottle, but i bought the entire regimen and it did wonders for my skin.

so like i said before i am going to So Cal for a few days in august and i need your help again.
lol i know im so needy, im sorry.

but i want to hit up and do some cool stuff so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! im going to be in the anaheim-LA area & the san diego area August 3-5. i really want to know good places to shop. omg and i want to go to some asian beauty stores, so if you know any defintely let me know!

i will also be in the Nor Cal area (Sacramento & the Bay to be exact) for the rest of the time i am in California. so any suggestiong on places to shop and things to do is gladly welcomed.

haha anyone who read my blog would know the answer to this one. i love love love Chanel. MAC is always a favorite for shadows though, Chanel has wonderful shadows but they dont offer a wide selection of colors.

i love lilies. like the big white easter lilies.

4. Favourite clothing store:

im a sucker for abercrombie. i dont shop there as much, but any time i walk into the store its hard to leave with a bag in my hand. i was obsessed with them in high school. their clothes fit soo well! nordstroms is always a good place to pick up my favorites like true religion, sevens, juicy couture. & i really love outlets. the off 5th saks 5th avenue outlet is one of my favorites! bebe & the bebe outlet are on the top of my lists too. and of course forever21, you cant beat their prices.

5. Favourite perfume:

muhaha i think Rai is totally disgusted that i dont wear perfume. i really havent found one that i like enough to wear all day. i mean they smell nice and whatever, but i have a really sensitive nose to that kind of stuff. i gag whenever someone walks by me if theyre perfume is too sweet or too strong.

when i used to work at victoria secrets and they would put me in the beauty department i would literally have to fight myself to not vomit or faint. all those really strong scents just give me a headache and make my tummy turn.

6. Heels or Flats:

Heels! if i had to choose between the two, but i do live my entire summer in flats or sandals

7. Do you make good grades:

of course im asian! haha i used to always get shit like that in school. "you're asian you have to be smart" but i do always get good grades.

it really depends on my mood. i go through phases. last year was a purple phase. this year has been a black phase. everything i've bought has been black. lol

no. not on a regular occasion, they're often too tart for my taste. but red bull & Yager is the shiiiitttt

haha if the apple juice is like ice cold then yes! i try to drink as much juice as i can. i looove snapple. seriously the best stuff on earth.

i think its nice to wait to get married, you know to be sure hes the "one". but when i was younger i knew i would be married young.. like 18 - 21. haha and im almost 21 and still not "officially" married. i wouldnt mind getting married now, like i know its good to wait for you both to finish school and get careers, but my love wont change whether i have a degree and a corner office ya know. im the type of person who would get married on a weekend in vegas just cause it felt right. im a hopeless romantic and i would do anything for love, waiting to me is just irrelevant. lol

haha yes im a complete bitch. im super irratiable, im not like rude yell in your face out in public type, but i am the ohhh you just wait till i get you alone imma rip you a new one type. lol i rarely get mad at strangers regardless of what they do, i really can keep my composure. i can take everything with a smile and totally not give a shit 5 minutes later. yeah im that crazy lol. i dont stay mad long though, but once you are on my bad side its IMPOSSIBLE to get in good. i will cut you outta my life forever, seriously.

16. Are you into ghost hunting:

omg i was just thinking about this last night. like what if i was a ghost hunter.. i can start a ghost hunting/make up service. you know like i can go to your house looking for ghosts and give you tips on how to conture your cheek bones.

i have this serious fear of being alone. haha it sounds silly but its so true. like when i used to sleep alone i would have to have someone on the phone with me or i wouldnt sleep at all. i used to never eat alone, i would rather starve than have to sit there by myself. i would never go to the grocery store alone, i used to drag my brother friends with me everywhere. i mean its not a whole thing with me not being independent, im very independent. but its a total physical thing. i just refuse to go anywhere or do anything alone, it freaks me out.

ommmmmmg and i have a fear of heights. i hate hate hate roller coaster rides, or anything associated with amusement parks. those things freak the shit out of me! and everyone i know loves them. they hella force me on atleast 1 ride every time we go to six flags and afterwards im like hyper ventilating, i cant stand, i feel all sick. it seriously scares the shit outta me.

18. Do you bite your nails:

no. lol thats gross. i like to tap my teeth with my nails though, its weird. people always think im biting my nails, but im really not.

19. Have you ever had a near death experience:

plently. i've nearly drowned 3 times. when i was like 5 i went under and didnt come back up. my dad had to go into the water to get me and i was passed out for a pretty long time. my mom swore i died, lol.

and i dont know if its a near death experience but my whole cervical cancer ordeal was really life changing for me. i was told in october that i had cervical cancer and it seriously killed me. i thought i would never be able to have kids and i really didnt know what to do, but when all my tests came back normal 6 months later i was seriously relieved.

20. Do you drink coffee -

no, i dont like to drink coffee. but i love coffee flavored everything! coffee ice cream, coffee hard candies.. i like the smell of coffee, but i do like iced coffee.

im sorry i havent been posting anything interesting lately. i've been really busy with work and i havent been in my regular office, everything work related is just all over the place. ugh gayness

i've also been super tired lately. like i have really serious PMDD and i take YAZ birthcontrol to help control it, but this month has been really bad. im normally tired and fatigued but lately its been the worse. i get home from work and i take a "nap" but end up sleeping throughout the night and waking up the next morning. im usually really irratiable and a huge bitch, but this month i've turned completely psyco. it ridiculous, i feel so bad for my boyfriend. hes such a victim of my love lol.

but i thought this would be fun. here are my top 10 things i cannot live without. in terms of beauty & fashion.

1. CHANEL

i have a serious addiction to their products. i think i can live without every other beauty product but not my chanel foundation :) its sooo yummy. i think if i had to i would sell blood to be able to afford this habit. haaha i sound like a crack head.

2. BLACK HEELS
i have lots of heels and 90% of the are black. im boring i know, but they're so sexy and they can go with any outfit, seriously. here are my favorite pairs:

3. A HUGE PURSE
im like 5'2" and 97 pounds but i love extremely large oversized bags. im notorious for having a big bag. im not one of those people who have huge bags and not fill them either. my bags are always full of random shit, people like to stick their keys and cellphones in my bags, hella weighing me down. gosh.

4. CHAPSTICK

lip gloss and lipsticks are pretty, but theyre practically useless without a good chapstick. i have an undying love for Soft Lips brand chapsticks. i literally own like 8 at any given time. i have atleast 2 in my purse, 1 in my makeup station, one in my car, and 1 in the BFs pockets at all times. lol i own like every flavor they've ever made.

5. MOISTURIZER
i have really dry skin so i definitely cannot live without a good moisturizer. i love moisturizers that have SPF in them. my faves include:

8. A SEXY BLACK DRESS

like seriously, what girl doesnt have a sexy black dress? i think its like a total NEED item in anyones closet. i dont know what it is about black dresses and black shoes that i find so desirable, im just drawn to them. whenever i slip on one of my black dresses i swear im the shit. haha i walk with my head held high like im the baddest bitch around. it totally brings out the vixen in me.

9. UGGS<3

no one loves their uggs like i love mine. i seriously wear them to death. theyre so comfortable and cute. im a total hypocrite though, cause i remember when uggs first came out.. i was like.. "WTF OHHHH HEL NO" i seriously thought all the white girls in my school lost their fucking minds! haha but the trend totally grew on me. i wear my uggs more than any other shoes combined. & living in alaska you can totally understand why. my feet get sooo cold and my uggs keep them totally warm

10. SIDE SWEPT BANGS
i seriously love my bangs. i love bangs in general. i have never seen someone who didnt look good with them. imma keep this look long after the fad dies out.

i was trying to get this posted yesterday, but i didnt have enough time. i went out to the movies last night with my boyfriend & my bff and her hubby. we saw TRANSFORMERS and it was the shhhhiiiitttt! seriously love that movie.

heres my FOTD nothing special. lol face routined as usual. the eye shadows are from my 120 pro palette. i was trying to go for a smokey purple look, and i didnt really succeed. lol i will have to try it again next time. i know my eyebrows look like a hot mess, i really need to go get them done again.

my weekend update

i had a little bbq with my bffs on saturday. haha we have like 5 pounds of beef short ribs, 5 punds of chicken wings and 5 pounds of pork ribs for like 4 adults and 2 toddlers. seriously we made waaay too much food, but it was sooo good. i love bbqs

but i guess being outside all day was bad for my boyfriend. we woke up sunday morning and his face was all fucked up. both eyes were swollen shut and his cheeks were soooooooo swollen. he seriously looks like he got attacked by bees. so we drugged him up with benadryl and we basically slept all day. it was nice, but my back is like super sore now. lol and his face has gotten better since yesterday morning, but its still pretty bad. hes so ugly, OMG. haha its really sad, but totally hilarious. i've been teasing him non-stop. im mean, i know :)

i've been so busy with work lately, i know i've been MIA from my blog. i need to do a FOTD, or something to entertain you guys. i will be working on that tonight.

this may not be exciting news for anyone but people who live in alaska but we are finally getting a Forever 21! soo exciting i can finally save myself the trouble of paying out the ass for shipping. shipping to alaska is always so EXPENSIVE. haha this may sound extremely lame, but alaska is so behind on retail stores. we just got a Target last year, our first Coach in 2007 and our first Kohls opened its doors in April 2009. shit, we got Abercrombie and Fitch in like 2002. we are seriously behind, i know.

im crossing my fingers for a Sephora. like that would seriously knock my socks off! or an H&M would be wonderful too. we dont even have an Express or a Victoria Secrets, its so depressing!

i would definitely apply if i was still in high school and could live off minimum wage, lol. but that store is a hot mess, it is way too much for me to handle. besides, retail is so not my thing. i used to work for victoria secrets and that seriously was a Panty Prison. i hated folding all those panties, but they gave out so many freebies it kind of made up for it. lol

we went to our first bar mitzvah. my boss invited us, so i was obligated to go, but we had a lot of fun. it seriously was much much better than i ever expected. we wore purple.. haha yes we are one of those disgusting couples that like to match. its never the same exact thing, we just color coordinate. lol

my boyfriend bought his car in alaska. FINALLY! we've been sharing since february when he moved up here and its been a pain in the ass, lol im so glad he has his own car now. look at how happy he is! hahaha yes, i forced him to take the picture :)

i spent the day with my sister on sunday and we indulged in some yummy treats. a strawberry and hot fudge sundae from dairy queen and a chocolate fudge cupcake from starbucks. sooooooooooooooooo delicious!

i got home from work the other day and i had a package... i was like WTF? baby bought these for me :)

my sister got this maxi dress from Target for like $17.99. its super cute & im definitely going to be borrowing it once or twice over the summer. such a great deal!

then i decided to do my face, cause i was waiting for the BF to get home from work... its reeally purple. it looks a lot more magenta/pink in the pictures cause of the flash, but i liked it. the BF saw it and he said he liked it too, lol much too bright for me to wear during the day, but would definitely be a nice club look.

so this is my version of an entry for my giveaway. i swear this is like the easiest giveaway ever, i mean.. you're just writing about yourself! who cant do that!? so i definitely think everyone should enter, if you dont.. i might have to slap you. haha im so not joking either. well on with my introduction!!

my real name is Ketmany. pronounced ket-mon-nee, and yes this is my actual name. its on my id and everything, haha. when i met my boyfriend and i told him what my name was he thought i was lying. he seriously thought i made it up, i should've slapped him, lol :) my close friends and family usually call me Nee. the only people who call me by my first name are people i meet at school or work.

outside of make-up and beauty related things i really dont do much with my life. its sad i know. i shop & thats about it. its ALL BAD! haha i like clothes and shoes and purses. i love designer names, im a brat like that. but i do LOVE to cook. i love to have bbqs, dinner parties, birthday parties, any reason for me to cook for in large quantites im all for it. im really passionate about my cooking and im damned good in the kitchen! but since i've moved back in with my parents i really dont cook as much, i've gotten so lazy. lol

i was born in thailand (im laotian btw) my family immigrated to America from Laos in the late 1980's. my biological father passed away when i was a baby, but my step dad is the best dad a girl could ever ask for :) i have 2 brothers and a younger sister. i work full-time as an invenotry manager for a small wireless company and im a student pursuing a bachelors in biological science. im not a party girl, well i know how to party with the best of 'em, but i really prefer to stay home and watch tv or kick it with my friends. i grew up between california and alaska, so im a strange combination of a valley girl & a small town girl. im a yes maam, thank you sir kinda person. i live a good life and i definitely dont take it for granted. i swear i have the best friends and family ever, and i know everyone says that. but i've been to hell and back and these are the people who have stood beside me through out it all. loooooooooooooooooooooove them :)

here are 5 random facts about me:

i live in alaska. yes, i really do. honestly no one would lie about living in alaska, haha. i actually happen to love it here. i've lived here since 1997 and i moved to california for 2 years for college and i always miss it whenever im away. its really a love hate relationship, the cold really gets on my nerves in the winter time. im working on a post about my love for alaska right now, lol
i cant swim. i sink like a rock whenever i get into deep water. i took a swimming class in high school and i failed miserably. haha its really sad, yes i know. but i honestly dont think i need to know how to swim, i've given up on it. im living my life perfectly fine without that skill.
in october i was pre-diagonosed with cervical cancer and i was scared shitless. my life seriously flashed before my eyes and things were really fucked up for me for a few months, but in the end everything worked out. as of march theres so cancer cells in sight! but i do have to get an exam every 6 months to make sure it doesnt ever come back.
im super hairy. haha thats not something i should share with people over my blog, but its not that big of a deal to me anymore. i have a super lot of arm hair, leg hair.. whatever. i used to be so self-concious about it when i was younger, but now i could care less. i've embraced it and i love it. my hair keeps me warm, LMFAO.
i really dont believe i have a sense of style. haha im really all over the place. i loooove to dress super preppy. in high school i lived in abercrombie and fitch. now im really just trying to find my style, so my clothes are very random.

i have 3 dogs. 2 live with me and 1 lives with my ex-boyfriend. im a huge animal lover. i call animal control any time i see a stray dog and i have been known to get out of my car and try to save animals.. it never really works out, but atleast i try. here are pictures of my babies, cause i like to whore my children out. please enjoy :D

how was everyones weekend? i hope it was very enjoyable. i had a great weekend. i went to my first bar mitzvah ever, and it was seriously awesome! I saw " the hangover" on friday and i almost pee'd my pants. i loooooooooooooooooved it!

so i've had my large black & khaki Coach Carly for almost 2 years now, and i loved it! its such a great bag and i love the style but it has a serious manufacture defect. it began to fray sometime last year and i thought it was normal wear and tear but i researched it and its a serious issue. so serious, that Coach is offering full price exchanges on any Carly thats fraying. i've known about this since october but i sat on it, cause i didnt want to give up my Carly and Coach really didnt have anything worth exchanging my beloved bag for. but i went into Coach on saturday with my Carly and my fraying has gotten progressively worse and you shouldve seen the horror in the SA's eyes. haha it was so bad, i knew it was time to exchange it. so here is my new baby :)

meet miss Madison Julianne. she comes in a variety of colors but i chose silver. shes so soft and i love her. what sold me on this one was her beautiful lilac fabric lining.
i also cleaned my room! wooohooo. i installed my new full length mirror and i love it. i shampoo'd my carpet with that new carpet shampooer i bought my daddy. its fucking awesome, if you're in the market for one the bissell proheat x or whatever its called is the best! and i did all of the laundry that was piling up in my closet. totally successful weekend.

so i dont know if anyone actually celebrates Nation Donut Day, hopefully yall went out and got some free donuts! i celebrated in all kinds of yummy goodness :) i didnt get them for free, but whatever im satisfied. HAPPY FRIDAY YALL

this week had definitely been exciting. my boyfriend is finally getting his car, no more sharing and im so excited! we just signed all the paper work yesterday and he will have his car by tuesday. he is seriously all giddy about it like a little girl. its so cute. i need to upload the pictures we took at the dealership.

i also went to work out last night, my first work out in two years! it was killing me, im so out of shape. but i really need to get my beach body back before we go on vacation. & now i have a buncha people to work out with, so i need to develope a work out plan! i do plan on going to the gym atleast once every other day or 3 times a week. haha does anyone have any tips on working out your tummy. im developing a pooch, and that is definitely not cute in a bikini.

while i havent been buying any makeup or beauty related products i did have a MASSIVE hual at home depot. haha yes, home depot. Fathers day is June 21st (16 more days) and i had to get my daddy a present. i ended up buying him a carpet shampooer, and he loves it. so what are you getting your fathers?

SAVING MONEY TIP #1: LOOK FOR DEALS

if you have to use a coupon or buy at another store to get a better deal, believe me its worth it! even if you are going to save 50 cents, thats more money left in your pocket and less money spent. im a firm believer in getting a good deal. i wait for sales to buy things, or i buy on ebay. i cut and slash my spending as much as i can. & just like anyone else i love free shit! who doesnt!? so apart of my 2 month challenge, i've promised to not buy anything, so i need to explore my other options: giveaways and contests!

SAVING MONEY TIP #2: EAT OUT LESS

i love to eat. whether its a full meal, a snack on the go, whatever and im super bad cause i always eat out. but everyone knows that food is pricey, your daily coffee or nights on the town can really add up and seriously hurt your bank account.

so a main part of my 2 month challenge is to eat out less, and if i do eat out then try not to spend too much on each meal. this week so far i've only bought lunch once cause i had lunch with Jon & it was less than $20 for both of us. for the rest of the week i plan not to eat out at all, i have a buncha snacks at work and i can always bring a lunch.

but what about those days where you just crave something? lately i've been wanting sweets, not like candy and chocolate, more like cakes and baked goods. i have a serious love for baked goods. but i dont have any stocked at the house and i dont want to go buy any. so what do i do?

lucky for me, this friday is NATIONAL DONUT DAY :)
im so serious too! haha and most donut places are celebrating the right way by giving away free donuts!

DUNKIN' DONUTS is joining in on the festivities by giving away a free donut with any beverage purchase on friday. i've personally have never had their donuts, but free is always good right? just sucky that you have to purchase a drink in order to get a free donut. i doo love donuts + hot chocolate! ahhh that'll make my morning so glorious.

UPDATE ON MY 2 MONTH CHALLENGE:

so how has everyones weekend gone? i literally didnt sleep all night last night & i strangely feel really good. i went to the mall with my sister today and it was the last day of the Nordstroms half yearly sale for women & kids, but i walked out empty handed. *HIGH FIVE to me*

they had some nice stuff there, but the sales in Anchorage are nothing compared to the sale i normally see in Sacramento. ohhhh how i miss California :(. did anyone else have a chance to stop in to check out the sale? & if you did.. did you get anything GOOD? lol share stories with me, i want to live vicariously through your shopping!

when i was taking pictures last night for Sarahs contest, it totally sunk in that my skin has gone to shit. literally! i've always had issues with acne and my skin in general, but seriously im almost 21 and i have worse acne than when i was 16. its ridiculous, i need to slap myself. the weird thing is i take better care of my skin now that i ever did in high school. my life isnt stressful, so i know its not cause of that.. im just baffled. fuuuuccckkkk adult acne, im not some 13 year old going through puberty. i hate this

so as i was having lunch with my sister we brainstormed various ways to help save my skin. heres a list of things we came up with:
- cut back on soda. (this will help me skin & help save money!)
- drink MORE water
- cut back on makeup (this is going to be the hardest part)
- sleep earlier, try to get a full 6 or more hours a night
- get out into the sun more often

does anyone have any tips i can try to help save my skin? keep in mind that i will not be purchasing any new products, so things i can do for free would be better, but any product suggestions would be very appreciated.. i will add them to my wishlist and possibly purchase after my 2 month challenge.

im thinking im going to do a whole lifestyle change for a month to see if my skin would get better,, documenting my trial and errors.. i guess lol. and yes, this is what i am going to do with my entire summer. set myself on all kinds of challenges and beauty adventures. LOL!

TINKERBELL INSPIRED LOOK

this is my entry to Sarahs Disney Character contest. at first i wanted to do Mulan (cause im asian haha) , but wasnt sure what to do, and so i pulled out my 120 eyeshadow palette and thought Tinkerbell would be a better choice. but i SWEAR i will go Mulan one of these days! lol so heres my go at this...

inspiration:
this definitely isnt a recreation of Tinkerbell. I was inspired by her, not trying to be her, lol . if oooonly i had magical fairy dust or a magic wand to help me out :(

i took these pictures at night, the artificial light makes my skin look like shit & also cause im wearing my revlon color stay foundation instead of my Chanel. i love the revlon, but i actually have to put on concealer & i never do. i hate that extra step, i'll do a proper review of the revlon when th sun comes up a bit more...gooosshhh being lazy is sooo hard :( . so maybe i will try this look again during the day, if i dont get too lazy. im happy with the way my eyes came out though.. thats all that really mattered to me.

on another note, went out to celebrate our anniversary last night. 8 months and going strong, lol its a little high school-ish to celebrate monthly anniversaries, i know.. but we use it as an excuse every month to have a sexy date. lol although last night wasnt really a date, because my sister & little cousin wanted to tag along, haha we all had fun though. we had dinner at Orso. my favorite restuarant in Anchorage! beeeessstttt calamari EVER. i shouldve gotten some pictures of the food, but i was starving. haha i was quite the fatty last night i had a top sirloin and we got 2 desserts and they were DELICIOUS. the tiramisu & chocolate molten cake is amazing there.

ohhhhh & we watched UP last night. seriously one of the cuuuuuuuutest movies i have ever seen. im already anticipating this coming out on DVD so i can buy it, and i nevvvvvver EVER buy DVDs, shows you how much i liked it. so if you havent seen it, go see it. i would pass on seeing it in 3D though. i seriously dont believe in paying that extra money, to wear those silly glasses to see a movie in 3D... i'd rather save that $3.25 surcharge fee.

this cartoon is PG13. it deals with a miscarriage and a death. i hate seeing movies that deal with miscarriages.. they seriously break my heart and bring back a lot of emotions and bad memories that im still trying to deal with. but there was a kid in the theatre who kept asking her mom, "mommy whats happening? what happened? why are they sad?" it was really cute.

2 MONTH CHALLENGE

i was reading Robyns blog today, if you havent seen her blog you definitely need to start following her! i looooove her blog & shes sooo sweet, and shes going on a 2 month shopping ban to save some money. & im totally going to join her. anyone else in?

i am by no means wealthy, but i do love the finer things in life. i work really hard to buy myself the things that i so materialistically love & this love of mine really consumes me and all of my money. lol. seeing how i have to start saving for my vacation anyways its all perfect timing. so from tomorrow forward i will not be buying any:

- cosmetics
- clothing
- accessories
- shoes
- handbags

if i dont need it, and its not a live or die situation i will not buy anything! i'll even cut back on eating out, try saving on gas, and pinching my pennies anyway i can. i should definitely be putting more money towards my bills and my savings than towards the bank accounts of my beloved department stores.

i think i should be ok, considering my massive shopping spree at BEBE & i just got my eyeshadow palettes and a new Chanel foundation.. i should be good for decades (or atleast until my vacation).

so from May 30th to July 30th i promise to not buy any of those items listed!! lets see how much money i can save and how hard this will be. hahaha i feel heavy withdrawl symptoms coming. i'll even document every penny spent and saved on my blog.

** i am not doing this to brag about money & materials, or how much or little i have of it. dont put judgement on me like that. i dont care that you know how much i save or spend, this is just informative for anyone who may find this helpful. if you dont like it, then you can get to steppin, cause i surely dont have any patience or tolerance for drama**

but i definitely feel that in tough economic times like these, whether you are feeling that pinch in your pocket or not, its definitely a good time to reevaluate your savings methods.. or lack of. even if you have billions in the bank, spending a little less and saving a little more wont hurt ya any. so who else is in? maybe 2 months is a little too long for some, but a week or 2, or even a few days, it will definitely make a great difference in your pocket book & for your own piece of mind.

i resisted nordstroms half yearly sale, but fell victim to the sale going on at BEBE yesterday. i went in, totally not intending on buying anything.. then i saw this gorgeous little black dress. so i tried it on, just to humor myself.. ugh im so stupid :(

of course, it fit perfectly & i loved it. so i had to buy it. luckily yesterday BEBE was having this outrageous sale. spend $300, get $100 off! i really didnt want to, but Jon insisted that i find $300 worth of stuff. gosh, im so spoiled! love you baby!

i have a strange obsession with this big headed cat, lol. i love hello kitty with a passion. i have necklaces, shirts, haha even a hello kitty electric toothbrush (2 actually). but i would have to say that my favorite hello kitty item has to be my hello kitty necklace from toys r us :)

i reeeeeeaaaaaaaaally wanted it, but decided not to buy it. i thought about it for like 2 weeks and finally caved into buying it, but then jon tells me he already ordered it for me :D !! it seriously was one of those things that really made me love him that much more. i mean i could love a guy who would buy me a million dollar necklace, but who cant love a guy who buys you a $12 necklace. haha i mean.. look at him, who couldnt love that dirty lil boy? hello kitty has been a strange puzzle piece in our relationship. i remember the first day we actually hung out he convinced me to buy a hello kitty sweater from Macys. lol i guess hello kitty was playing cupid that day :)

i have an obsession with foundation, everything that anyone loves i'll try.. but i always end up disappointed. for some odd reason nothing works for me. its either too greasy or doesnt provide enough coverage for my taste, and its never the right color, ever. i have such an issue with finding a good color match, its an outrage. even my beloved Chanel isnt a perfect color match for me. & im sure im not the only person who goes through this, i know far too many people who struggle to find the "perfect" foundation.

so is there a foundation out there that will be perfect for everyone?

according to Perricone MD there is. the NO FOUNDATION FOUNDATION claims to be the answer to us all. supposedly this foundation will work on anyone and any skin tone. im so curious! i read an arcticle on this foundation on New York Magazine and they did a trial with 10 different women and it seemed to work for everyone. i swear this is impossible! i need to get my hands on this and try it out... but i just dropped $65 on my new Chanel, so i'll wait till that runs out before i try this. but if anyone tries this before me, PLEASE write a review!

PROMOTIONS, HAULS & REVIEWS

so lets start with some good news :) i found out last month that im getting promoted at work! i was super excited and i dont actually get promoted until May 22, but its definitely something to look forward to. best thing is i got a pay raise with my promotion and even though i havent taken over the inventory manager position yet, they've already started paying me at my higher hourly rate. HELL YES! i love my job

on to better things! here are my latest beauty huals. i know im not supposed to, but i gotta celebrate some how.

my 120 pro palette from ebay. it took 3 weeks to get here, but definitely worth the wait. i got it at a super great price ($19.99, free shipping) so how could i not buy it, right? and i know im a little late on this, cause everyone and their mom already has it. so im not going to do a review on it because everyone knows its a great palette. the shadows have such great pigment, but one of my black eyeshadows did come broken so i'll do a future post on how to fix that.

the next addition to my makeup arsinal is the 28 neutral palette. i loooove this palette. the colors are great and definitely useful for my work face everyday. i also used this palette for my sister & her friends prom looks. such a lovely palette. i got it on ebay for $20 with free shipping, took about 2 weeks to get to alaska.

i have this outrageous love affair with Chanel. i've been using them since i was 16. i started with the DOUBLE PERFECTION COMPACT in medium beige and have been devoted to them for years. i was obsessed with their entire cosmetic line and never EVER used any other products. it was Chanel everything! but in the past year i ventured out and tried MAC, CLINIQUE, REVLON, SHISEIDO, SHU EUMURA and a handful of other products, and i still say nothing compares to my Chanel <3
my all time favorite is the MATTE LUMIERE in beige, i've been using it since i first tried in fall of 2006, but this new LIFT LUMIERE is definitely giving it some competition. but Nordstroms was out of Beige in the MATTE LUMIERE (as always. seriously anytime i go there.. in any nordstroms, theyre out of it!) but the MUA recommended i try the new LIFT LUMIERE foundation from Chanel. it has the same matte finish, but it also has lifting? idk.. i was just like.. WTF? ok lady whatever. lol now i've tried all of their liquid foundations. the PRO LUMIERE, MATTE LUMIERE, and the VITA LUMIERE SATIN. sooooo heres my review:

what the product claims:
More than a foundation, this unique formula is the consummate skin-caring makeup. Not only does it beautifully even out your skin tone as it helps deliver essential hydration, but firming polymers also provide skin with an impeccably smooth surface and the look and feel of an immediate 'lift.'

Price: $65 for 1 fluid oz.

what i loved:
- it has a matte finish
- the color is dead-on with my skin tone
- its medium to buildable coverage
- SPF 15!
- it works perfecting with my chanel loose powder

what i hate:
- the price! $65 is hard to swallow for a foundation especially for anyone on a budget
- the Chanel line doesnt offer a large selection of foundation shades

overall i would definitely buy this product again. it is more hydrating than the other foundations in its LUMIERE family and with my dry skin i need it, but at $65 (versus the $54 for the other lumiere foundations) i think its a bit over priced. while the new LIFT LUMIERE comes in a completely plastic container, rather than the typical glass and it does appear to be larger. they're all just 1 fluid ounces of beautiful foundation. and i dont know whats up with the whole "lifting" aspect of this foundation but i love it, but i definitely dont recommend anyone to splurge on it.

next review: the KISS TOENAILS

i bought this for my sister when i did her prom look, her left big toe nail is half broken (its too much to explain lol) but i couldnt just give her a pedicure so i got these and glued them on cause she was wearing open toed shoes. so i just filed, trimmed and painted these fake ones and glued them onto her natural toenails. they were wonderful!

what the product claims:

price: $6.45 .. around there. they were cheap.

where to purchase:

what i liked:

- its cheap
- super easy to use

what i didnt like:
- the toenail sizes are kinda large and long. so theres a bit of filing and cutting needed

overall i would definitely buy again.. if i ever needed to, but i highly doubt it. the nails are still on her toes now (an entrie week later) so they definitely are worth the money! i would definitely reccommend these.

i've never been good with parting with things that i love, especially not a handbag. haha, i may sound ridiculous but i do build a weird emotional/sentimental bond with my materialistic shit. i bought this bag a while ago, years to be exact, and i've never used it. EVER, it still has the tags and the dustbag... its beautiful. i just dont know why i have never used it.

i had a really bad Coach addiction for a while. i bought up everything they made: handbags, sneakers, heels, key chains, phone lanyards. you name it i have it. buuuut i have been very good and havent bought a handbag since last year in september! wooohooooo and cause Coaches or anything other designers new line up doesnt tickle my fancy.

its a limited edition Coach Python Small Pocket Satchel in lavender. it was released in 2005 and at the time retailed for $1,900 (fucking ridiculous for Coach.. i know) its definitely a collectors item, thats why im having trouble parting with it. its in mint condition (i've never used it), it has the tags (but not attached) and i have a matching patent leather lavender coin purse for it (new & tags attached, never used it either). it has python skin with leather trim, it has front and side kiss lock closure pockets, an outside zip pouch, gold hardware and imported silk lining. but it does show small signs of wear and tear: the purse is 4 years old and even though i've never used it, it is made out of python.. exotic skins wear over time no matter what precautions you take.(i'll post my pictures of it when i get home)

& now financially selling this bag could really help me. i have summer tuition due and it would be nice to have one less bill to worry about, but i would miss this bag. ( i sound stupid i know, dont judge! lol) i mean i dont NEED the money, cause i do work and make enough to cover bills. but it could go towards the 8 grand my boyfriend is dishing out for my engagement ring... so should i sell it?

so this past saturday was prom. not for me, haha im years past the phase in my life, but it was my sisters first prom. she got invited to go to the junior/senior prom (shes a sophomore) and she was uber excited! i did her hair and makeup, coordinated her outfit & it was all so much fun for the both of us. kinda made me wanna get all dolled up and go too, lol

i know some people arent down with fake nails, and for the longest time that was me. i think the first time i got fake nails... i was like 18. haha and ever since i've been hooked. i do occassionally get tired of them and let my natural nails take over, but i hate the chipping, breaking & tearing of natural nails. no matter what i do, theyre just not as durable as my gel nails.

i normally get my typical white french tips, then fell in love with black tips. i think i rocked black tips almost all year round in 2008... it was so cute! but this time around i decided to get something different, something a little brighter and bolder for spring. the initial color was a red-orange. i thought it was PERFECT for spring. a loud punch of color, well jon saw them and hated them. lol he said they were too bright, so i got some nice red polish and re-did my tips. heres the final product (as i promised in my previous post:

yesterday was administrative professionals day.. er whatever and my boss had promised to buy the office lunch, haha he totally forgot. but.. he did pull through and got us lunch today. i got a "hot philly" from straight outta philly and its really yummy! i normally dont like phillies, but i definitely enjoyed this. lol its like a standard philly on a hoagie, it has the Philadelphia steak, grilled onions, green bell peppers, jalapenos, and cheese. all kinds of deliciousness. i feel like such a fatty.

we brought home baby #2, a beautiful cream male pomeranian. which we have named Leche (like the spanish word for milk, cause hes creamy) but needless to say my parents are not very happy with it. well not my mom shes in love with him. my dad is super pissed and said i could only keep one dog, but i refuse to rehome my little baby. i love him, cause hes so cute and fat! haha leche and mocha are progressively getting along, shes a little agressive and hes more timid, but its getting better. its just not that easy for me to just give him away. i've already promised him a home, how can i just give him away. my heart just wont let me do it.

my new years resolution this year was to be good with money, to get my credit cards paid off and start saving, like a responsible person would do.. and so far this year has been good for me. i've paid off 2 credit cards and by september (maybe even earlier) my debt will be eliminated. i havent bought much, literally i havent bought anything which is amazing for me... other than gas & food all my money goes to bills. i've resisted the lure of makeup, handbags, clothes and shoes. literally everything i love so much. i've even given up my pricey department store brands for drug store brands (which isnt really a bad thing) i traded in my beloved Chanel Matte Lumiere ($56) for Revlons Color Stay foundation ($11.00). i've even given up my Clinique skin care regimen ($45) for a L'oreal skin care set ($25), honestly i've been cutting back and saving money left and right. but fighting my addiction to shopping has not been easy. i was itching to buy something, anything and i finally caved... these are my purchases:

Steve Madden Maddie pumps. i know i dont need another pair of heels, but they were sooo cute on my feet and they're very very sexy. i dont really like animal print shoes or bags, but i am guilty of owning a beautiful python bag. haha plus, they were like more than 50% off, normally $109.95, how do you say no to that!? its impossible. haha i got them for $40

then i caved and bought the "coastal scents" palettes. i put "coastal scents" because they buy them in bulk from china and redistibutes them at a higher cost plus shipping cost... i ordered mine from ebay for $36 with free shipping! for both, and while its going to take a bit longer to get here, but i saved a few bucks. i've been wanting these for months but resisted the temptation. i finally caved cause prom is coming up next month and im going to need to do makeup for my sister and her friends. i didnt wanna hit mac or walmart to buy a million different shadows, so these palettes are like a one stop shop. i got the 120 palette and the neutral palette, both arent available on the coastal scents site at the moment . haha i havent bought makeup, like seriously purchased makeup in a long time, so this definitely will scratch my itch for a while. yaaaaaay ;)

i recently caught chatter of my favorite show possibly getting cancelled. im outraged! i know that NBC has been having some crummy ratings this season, but dont cancel my Chuck! its only in its 2nd season & its a great show. i thought it was going really strong. it has a great demographic! im going to have to start a "save chuck" foundation or something. grrr

this sucks, every time i like a show on NBC they cancel it, same thing happened with The Black Donnlleys, the only show i love that they've kept is Law & Order. well NBC if u cancel Chuck, you'll definitely be hearing from me. & i dont write nice letters (jk... not really) haha. this show that is definitely worth watching & im a loyal follower. my boyfriend & i get excited everytime a new episode is released. i hope that if it does get tragically cancelled that another network will pick it up. *crossing my fingers*

went to eat korean food, i think baby was craving it lol he must have my baby in him :) but it was sooo yummy as always. service always sucks, cause their koreans lol but it was good cant hate on that. then baby,me& my sister went to watch "the haunting in connecticut". for a pg13 movie, that shit was scarey lol. baby was hella freaking out, hella hugging me and jumpy; it was quite hilarious! he would grip my hand hella hard and then be mad at me cause his hand hurt, lol hes too cute. what a loser! my sister got pretty freaked out too, she couldnt sleep and shit hahaha. sorry asses, i will never watch another scarey movie with them.

baby went to work and i was fucking trapped with my parents all day. lol they crack me up, but they're pretty annoying, took me on a fucking laos tour and shit. ugh i hate lao people... but they bought me hella snacks. yummmy :)

mommy & i went on a little house hunting mission. i saw the cutest house on price street & i want it bad lol while we were out fucking ash started falling! got all in my eye and my mouth, so digusting. i wanted to run to the store to pick up masks, but decided to go home instead. spent the rest of the weekend inside, literally. from saturday night to monday morning i never left the house. exciting, i know

omg and i cleaned our room. holy shit its amazing. haha i can actually see the floor and the corners, its a beautiful thang.

happy 6 month anniversary baby! haha we both hella forgot, were laying in bed last night around 1am and he pops up like... oh it was our anniversary! haha he was tryna front like he knew all along and was waiting for me to remember, haha so gay. we literally spent the whole day doing nothing, we took a little nap together and then he played games all day. lol hes so romantic, i know. dont be jealous :D

we watched marley&me last night. super cute movie, definitely something you can cuddle up to. it made me hella sad though, with the whole miscarriage thing in the movie, it really hit home for me and brought back all kinds of feelings and shit i wasnt tryna think about. since it happened i've just been pushing it to the back of my head trying not to think about it and it all came crashing down on me. i just laid in bed and cried in babys arms<3>

With the two most recent eruptions of Mt. Redoubt ash has fallen onto Homer and expected to be in the atmosphere over Anchorage. although according to ADN.com ash wont touch down on Anchorage, but i would suggest to buy masks anyways. with the ash hoovering over the city theres still a possibility small amounts of ash can touch ground, so you can still breathe it in. get a mask to be safe.

for anyone traveling in and out of anchorage tonight, sucks to be you. alaska airlines has cancelled all flights in and out of the city until further notice. fedex, era aviations and other services have also cancelled flights in and out of the city.

if the ash does fall onto anchorage life will go on as normal. they arent expecting the amount of ash fall to cancel school or work. so stop crossing your fingers for an extra day off. you're biggest concern may be a light film on your car, but nothing else. there is still no need to freak out. no one needs to stock up on water and batteries. while a mask isnt necessary im just recommending it as a safety precaution.

its not that i dont believe in planning things out, but honestly i have lost faith in it. or atleast, i had lost faith in it. timmy used to always get my hopes up for shit: "imma take you to the Bay this weekend" or "lets go for dinner & a movie" like the simplest shit would fall through just cause he never cared enough. he was such a douchebag.

but ever since jon has been in my life he hasnt let me down yet. any time he says we'll go somewhere we always do, or we'll do something we always do. hes consistent and i love it. i was so used to getting let down that i didnt expect anything different from him, but hes always been so good at proving me wrong. im such a lucky girl.

anyways.. im trying to plan a trip for us. either for our 1 year anniversary or maybe for next spring. it depends on how things work out financially, but i know this is definitely something that will happen. the details are still in the works, researching destinations and activities, tryna figure out how much everything will cost and how long it will take us to save. but im excited, i cant wait. i want us to experience everything together, it'll help us grow and bond more as a couple.

i thought about japan and going to tokyo. i knew we would have fun there, but neither of us speak japanese.. so it may be more hassle than leisure. so i thought maybe thailand, i speak thai so it wouldnt be so hard to navigate our way around the country, plus theres so much to do. definitely want to hang around bangkok then go to phuket then chiang mai and everything else inbetween. everythings cheap there and we'd have a great time. i also considered going somewhere in the US or atleast closer to home, Canada or Mexico, but i dont know. thailand is just calling to me... we shall see.

AHHHHHHHHHHH! we are so going to die, well according to mei atleast. haha mt. redoubt erupted last night 3/22/2009 at 10:38pm and has erupted 5 times since then. luckily the winds are carrying the ash away from anchorage, so there isnt any ash expected to fall onto anchorage. but i bet all the white people here are freeaking out, running to walmart and costco buying up all kinds of supplies and shit. calm the fuck down people! lol fucking retards. everyone was expecting to miss work & school, but sadly we all have to continue our lives like normal. gay.

but for anyone north of anchorage: talkeetna, willow and surrounding areas of denali national park, please stay safe. stay indoors and keep your pets indoors. no need to stock up on supplies or freak out, only a light amount of ash is expected to fall... all the heavier stuff has already falled down the side of the volcano. be smart people!

yesterday was a fun day for us :) we went out to dinner with one of my oldest friends kristina and it was nice. we ate pizza at nino's, lol jon ordering a pizza is hilarious. him and his ridiculous $31 pizza and we only ate 2 slices. haha it was yummy though, too bad our waitress was a completely ridiculous idiot. it was nice to catch up and hang out again. i hate it when you lose touch with people you were once so close with. kristina and i have been friends since the 6th grade, thats like 10 years now!
we also watched know1ng. i liked it, it was a little ridiculous but enjoyable. it was really sad too. i know it has some really mixed reviews, but its one of those movies you just have to see for yourself. haha i love the scene where the people were going hella crazy and taking hella shit from the gas station. i totally imagined that happening here when i heard mt. redoubt has erupted. lol

i dyed my hair for the first time in november '08 and i liked it. i had always had this fear of dying my hair, i swore i never would. then jon convinced me to do it lol, the things you do for love. goodness. i had thought about going back to my lovely natural black hair, but jon seemed to cringe at the idea. so i shall dye it again & now that im not pregnant i dont have to wait a whole lifetime until i can do it. i may even do it myself... yes i think i will try and do it myself. i mean, whats the worse that can happen? ok...a lot actually, but lets not freak ourselves out.

so, i have done the "research" (googled everything :D ) and i dont think its a good idea to do my hair myself. haha just because my hair is so dark, the store brand dye will never show up. even when i got my hair done at the salon in november it took HELLA long for the color to get as nice as it did. lol, bit definitely going back to the red. i thought about blonde, but it would just make me look like some import model wanna-be. ehhh whatever.

i know my birthday is almost a whole life time away, august just seems so out of reach right now, but its one thing to look forward to and it makes me happy to think about it.

though my plans are not really to get completely shit faced, as many would assume. i just want it to be fun & special. i dont think i've ever had a "good" birthday. most birthdays are spent in tears or spent disappointed. last year was good, but it left me with a very disappointing outcome. my life has changed so much in the past year and i want this year to be good, like really fucking good! originally i had planned to go to NYC with my fam bamz <3 i love my brothers & i always have a good time with them, but now that everyones coming to alaska in may i dont think everyone can afford to do another big trip in august. f the world! but yit-ze & i have our hearts set on going to NYC. i've wanted this for 2 years now, i've been really looking forward to this and i will be devastated if it doesnt happen.

if all else fails i know i can always find something 'round my way to entertain myself for my birthday, but it will have to be something super fucking spectacular. besides 80% of my friends in anchorage arent even 21 yet, lmfao. including my lover, damned these babies! we will see what happens, *crossing my fingers* im hoping for the best!

LEARNING TO DEAL

its been a hard week for me, well for us. i catch myself crying, randomly. especially when im alone. i dont know how to deal with this, and i keep thinking that i wont ever cope with it. he keeps telling me that its "normal". i know what the statistics say, 1 in every 5 pregnant women suffer from a miscarriage, and sadly im that unlucky one. im angry, upset, frustrated, hurt and most of all disappointed. i dont want to throw myself a pity party, but it really is unfair. its not fucking fair at all. plenty of people get pregnant and choose not to have their child, or dont want their child; how is it that i wanted this so bad. i was so happy and so excited for this.. and it was all stolen from me. i hate this, its just a sickening feeling.
